Johnny Depp Goes Nearly Bald as James "Whitey" Bulger in Black Mass
Johnny Depp is looking, er, not himself these days. The actor was photographed looking unrecognizable while on the Boston, Mass., set of his upcoming biopic, Black Mass, on Tuesday, May 13.
Depp, 50, is set to portray real-life mobster James "Whitey" Bulger in the project, and got into character by wearing a bald cap. He sported thin blond pieces of hair while dressed in eye-catching blue pants, a black T-shirt and a matching leather jacket.
Bulger was sentenced to two life sentences, plus five years, back in November, after being on the run for 16 years. He was considered a ruthless gangster in South Boston and was indicted for 19 murders.

Depp took on the role with no hesitation. "The reason to play him is obvious to me. He's a fascinating character," Amber Heard's fiance told Collider last month. "It's not like anything I've done before, on that level. I'm very excited to slide into that skin for a little bit."
