Menulog founder Dan Katz splashes out on $20m Sydney waterfront mansion
When you have sold a start-up business you co-founded in 2006 for $855 million, buying a new luxury home would be pretty high on the agenda.
And this is the case for Menulog co-founder Dan Katz and his wife Nicole who have bought a luxury $20 million property on Sydney’s harbour -front. Menulog - Australia’s largest online food and beverage ordering service company - was sold for $855 million last year.
Domain reports that Mr Katz was seen inspecting the Vaucluse waterfront home of finance entrepreneur Clive Isenberg along with the buyer’s agent Simon Cohen, and he now owns the stylish property.

Described in its listing as an exceptional harbour-front home, it is surrounded by manicured level gardens on the sheltered northern shore of the beach. Its panoramic views provide an ideal environment for family living and entertaining on a grand scale.

It was also reported that Mr Katz has since followed up the purchase by putting his family’s Maroubra home also on the market.
Conservative estimates are that potential buyers will pay $3.5 million for the Maroubra home that will go under the hammer through Jason Black, of Jason Black Lifestyle on March 19.
The five-bedroom home will have no shortage of interested parties and previously went for $2.57 million when sold by the previous owners, the Katehos family.
Mr Katz should have no problem selling his own property which covers 550 square metres. At its first open inspection the majority of interested parties from house owners in the Bondi and Bronte areas who were looking to upsize.
