The movie has had some stinking reviews - but Cowboys And Aliens star Olivia Wilde will be hoping to get good write-ups for her stunning outfit at the German premiere of her new movie last night.

The star was wearing a figure-hugging LBD which accentuated her curves in all the right places at the gala screening of the film in Berlin.

She's teamed the classy frock with black patent platform heels and an eye-catching funky ponytail as she met hundreds of fans there along with co-stars Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig.

Even the usually morose Bond star Daniel Craig seemed to be making an effort last night, greeting fans with a smile and cracking jokes with Indiana Jones legend Harrsion.

The bizarre sci-fi western mash-up has been given just two stars by movie website Rotten Tomatoes.

It gets 6.8 out of 10 however on the Internet Movie Database however, which describes the film thus: 'A spaceship arrives in Arizona, 1873, to take over the Earth, starting with the Wild West region. A posse of cowboys and natives are all that stand in their way.'

One reviewer on the site however opines: 'What results is at times bottom-of-the-barrel fare, but occasionally rises to abject mediocrity.'

However, Daniel, who plays mysterious gunslinger Jake Lonergan, has been defending the film, telling the Mail Live magazine at the weekend: ‘I’ve always wanted to play a cowboy.

‘I saw the title, Cowboys & Aliens, and thought, “What the hell is this?” You think, “OK, it’s going to be a send-up, it’s going to be something funny.” But actually the script read straight.’

Harrison is standing by the film too and said he relished his role Woodrow Dolarhyde, the colonel who rules the New Mexican town of Absolution with an iron fist.

Ford said: ‘Many of the characters I have played have been informed by Western archetypes. Han Solo is a gunslinger. Indiana Jones also has a degree of a Western about it. So it’s what I grew up doing. I was always ambitious to make a Western and I’m glad I finally got the chance.’

Produced by Steven Spielberg and Ron Howard, it opens in the UK on 17 August.
